B'sorah Luxury Tented Camp

Hello Journeyers,
Tomorrow I'm bidding my company farewell and going on a well deserved holiday break and will be back to blogging first week in July. I was not looking forward to Fathers Day in the city so decided to book a nice weekend away for us and came across B'sorah Luxury Tented Camp somewhere on the internet. Luckily for us it was also a long weekend.

They are situated in Broederstroom, between Hartbeespoort and Krugersdorp on a 1600 hectare farm. With 4 Luxury Tents and one Honeymoon Tent you can feel right at home and in the bush or if you are up for roughing it a bit they also have a 4x4 campsite with no water and electricity.

I was very excited for the weekend away, then again when am I not. Upon arrival we came across a obstacle that's been a issue for us with most things lately - Mo-Landy, as we were following the owners to our tent we managed to make it to the first tent. Why you may ask? Well there was a big branch growing across the road and Mo-Landy is too high. We were stuck on the one side of the branch and the owners on the other. I thought it was very funny, so Natalie just moved us to the first tent.

The tents are beautifully situated next to a stream with a terrace where you can sit and enjoy your coffee while looking over the water and listening to the call of the Fish Eagle. We even had some fresh picked flowers waiting in our tent for us. I love the small touches, it makes one feel special.

The owners, Natalie and Nicholas are extremely warm and welcoming and made us feel at home instantly. We spent our days relaxing next to the fire (yes we started our fires early as it was freezing) and next to the stream and even drove through to my aunt the Saturday for a nice visit. There are nice walking / bike trials on the farm and you can find some warthogs, horses, cows, nyala and even waterbuck wandering on the farm.

This place is perfect for Joburgers who need a weekend away but who are not a fan of long distance driving. Being only an hour away it will feel like you escaped the city instantly but also still close enough to escape and go have a nice lunch somewhere in Harties.

I really enjoyed staying here and would go back for a weekend in a heartbeat. I can only imagine how beautiful it will be in summer when everything is green.
