The Glam Green Girl - Cruise the Caribbean

Hello Journeyers!
I don't know how many times I've said sorry right about here. I'm just figuring out my life lately. One thing I can tell you is never try to cope with death while doing a pilates course and starting a new work and trying to buy a house. All these combined - disaster in basically everything. My skin has not been without a breakout for months and my weight is up and down. But I'm working on it, taking every day one step at a time. So I'm very excited though to share the beautiful Cassi's travel experience with us right here. This lady is true to herself and beautiful and her love for earth just blows my mind.

Hi everyone!

When Johlet asked me to write a guest post on my favourite holiday I was so excited at first but then I thought “oh gosh, which one am I going to choose?”! Those that read my blog will have noticed that I've been blessed with many trips to Zambia, its pretty much my second home. But if I had to choose my favourite holiday, many come to mind but there is one that I will go on again in a heartbeat – a cruise around the Caribbean!

In July 2012, I went with some dear family friends and a large group overseas. We first stopped off in Dubai for a few days, then New York and then we boarded one of the world’s largest cruise ships and spent a week sailing around the Caribbean. Before I tell you what adventures I got up to, let me tell you about the actual ship itself. We boarded the Oasis Of The Seas (at the time it was the largest cruise ship in the world), it’s part of the Royal Caribbean family and it was like I stepped onto a shopping mall on the sea! With 18 floors, there was definitely something to keep everyone happy - one of my favourite spots that I visited daily was the mini Starbucks, hello caramel macchiato!

From attending the Captain’s Dinner to celebrating the 4th of July, every day and every night was spectacular!

We boarded the ship in Fort Lauderdale and first stopped off in the Bahamas for a day. Wow, what a beautiful place! The family I was travelling with decided that instead of going on the tour the ship had arranged, we were going to spend that time in Atlantis at the water park resort. Best decision ever! It’s like Sun city but on steroids! One of my favourite memories from that day was when I snuck out of the resort and went for a sneaky swim in the sea by myself, my inner mermaid could not have been any happier!

Our second stop on our cruise was the island of St Thomas – here we spent the whole day at the beach and I probably spent 5 hours snorkelling and exploring the beautiful coral reefs of the island. I didn't want to get out of the water.

The last stop on our tour before heading back to America was the dutch island of St Maarten. It was
raining when we arrived so our swimming plans were cancelled but we got to explore the island instead and did some shopping. I highly recommend a cruise for anyone that’s planning a holiday soon. My experience on the Oasis of The Seas was just the best and I cannot wait to one day go again!

Hope you enjoy my pictures of my magnificent holiday in the Caribbean

4 Years...

Hello Journeyers,
This post is dedicated to Cedric...and me. Today is our 4 year anniversary.
It's been 4 years of ups and downs! But he has stuck with me through it all. And to me that is true love. He is my rock, my shoulder to cry on, my punching bag and my safety net. Lately those has been a full time work for him.

Thank you boo boo for being so very patient with me lately. I honestly don't know what I would have done without you!

I love you!
Forever and ever!

Klip en Kristal Guest House

Hello Journeyers,
About 4 weeks ago as we finally started our holiday we stopped over in Bela Bela for a night before heading to Marakele National Park. I found this beautiful Guest house, Klip en Kristal, on the SafariNow website and it didn't take much convincing before Cedric also agreed to go there. I completely forgot to book via Safari Now and quickly phoned the morning of to find out if they have availability. We were in luck.

I loved the place the moment we drove into the gate. It's beautifully set up and you almost feel like you are at home. The décor is interesting yet simple. From old books sitting on each table to the cute names of each room.

The room is nice and spacious and the high ceiling just made my day. Not to mention the chandeliers. I'm a sucker for a nice chandelier. Precision to detail make it extra special. It shows that they appreciate your support. With something as small as personalised labels on almost everything. The rooms have everything you need to be comfortable, from air-con to DSTV. Whether your stay is just for a night or to just escape the city and make a mini holiday of it. I fell in love with the bathroom, I love a nice bathroom, and if it has a nice bath even better. I love my tub soaks.

The prices include a very healthy and extremely tasty breakfast. Perfect to get you started for your journey. My tummy was full and happy for the next part of our road trip.

I would really suggest this Guest House for anyone who are planning to travel through Bela Bela, whether on holiday or business. Trust me, the friendly staff and management almost make you not want to leave.
