Physicians Formula #JHBbloggermeetup

Happy hump day Journeyers!
I know I have been TERRIBLE when it comes to blogging lately, and I do sincerely apologise as it is 100% my own fault. Why you may wonder? Well because I am already in holiday mode. Even though my holiday only starts in 9 days. But who's counting??? hehe

I must be honest with you guys, I have never heard of this product before. Physicians Formula. Interesting name... I was definitely very curious when their products showed up as one of the sponsors for the #JHBbloggermeetup. And when I saw the packaging I became even more curious about the product. The product itself is beautiful, what woman won't fall for a bronzer called Happy Booster that is covered in hearts? And a needle free lip plumping cocktail called Plump Potion.
Let's just say after seeing their contribution that I was hooked.
I just could not get it over my heart to open the goodies. But it had to be done. And with a heavy heart I opened it.....and tried it.....and loved it!

About Physicians Formula:

Pro's: Happy Booster - The name says it all. I get a boost of happiness when just looking at it. Those hearts just make me fall in love with the product all over again. I have no idea how to use a bronzer (I know how bad am I) so I have been using it as a blusher and I love it! It really gives me a glow to my cheeks. Happy cheeks = happy Johlet!

Pro's: Plump Potion - I love that tingly feeling you get when applying the product. It also has a great little brush that makes the product easy to apply. Although make sure you rub some of the product off on the side as it does pick up a lot of product. The feel of the container feels expensive. Almost like a glass syringe. It made my lips a rosy colour and also lasts for quite a while. Mine gives me the glossy look for at least 3 hours. Fuller, happier lips indeed.

Con's: Happy Booster - Nothing whatsoever. This product is too pretty to hate.

Con's: Plump Potion - I don't like the smell, I can't put my finger on the smell but I just don't like it. It has a very sticky formulation which I also don't like.

My Happy Booster bronzer used here as a blush.
Wearing the Plump Potion.
My takes on it: Rating out of 5. 5 Being great and 1 being poor.

Price - Happy Booster R175 // Plump Postion R139 (Exclusive to Dischem stores)

Quality - 4
Effectiveness - 4
Overall - 4

Thank you very much to Physicians Formula for the amazing sponsor!
I cannot wait to keep on Boosting my Happiness and Plumping my lips!
Have a happy Wednesday everyone!

Balm Balm SA Lip Balm - #JHBbloggermeetup

Hello Journeyers!
I know, I have been neglecting you guys! But it is end of the year and everyone knows how it goes this time of the year. So much to do with so little time! *sob*
And then there are all these reviews that I must still get to from the #JHBbloggermeetup. #nervous (Yes I just used a # in one of my blog posts - damn you #)

We were very lucky to get one of the best 100% Organic and 100% Natural Brands to sponsor us with some amazing Lip Balms. Yes I'm talking about the one and only Balm Balm SA

I have been using mine for almost a week now and I am in love with it! Cedric has some competition! Joking haha! I received the Tea Tree Flavour and I absolutely love the smell of Tea Tree. To me it always smells so clean and healthy.

Pro's - I love it. What I love the most is that it feels extremely smooth on my lips and it actually works. I constantly suffer from dry lips! It is super annoying. And as soon as I put this onto my lips they feel smooth and it lasts for hours. No jokes. I constantly rub my lips together when I have it on just to feel the smoothness of my lips. I know that's weird. The smell is nice and strong but you don't smell it at all when on your lips. Plus did I mention that it is 100% Organic and 100% Natural. AND it is multi purpose so you can just dab it onto any dry spot on your body! It also come in 3 flavours. *Fragrance free // Rose Geranium // Tea Tree*

Con's - NOTHING! Maybe that it's just a bit pricey? But if you keep in my that it is Organic and Natural I assume that it is not too bad then.

My takes on it: Rating out of 5. 5 Being great and 1 being poor.

Price - R82 (online)
Quality - 4
Effectiveness - 5
Overall - 4.5

I would like to give a huge shout out and thank you to Balm Balm SA for being such an amazing brand and for making the world a greener and friendlier place! Also for making ladies (and men) feel more comfortable in their own skin. Thumbs Up!!!

Revlon - Nail Enamel // Super Lustrous Lipgloss // Super Lustrous Lipstick #JHBbloggermeetup

Hello Journeyers!
So in less than a month we will be facing Christmas in the face! Where has this year gone too? I still wanted to do so much. All I can say now is thank you that I'm still here and that I'm healthy! Now I can start planning for next year! It sounds crazy but I love planning, and if I could I would plan my life to the T! But out of experience 99% of the time things don't work out then I just have to go over to Plan B laugh it off and move on.

One of our amazing sponsors and actually one of the firsts to jump on the bandwagon was Revlon. Now I'm a huge Revlon fan. Firstly because their product quality is amazing and they are extremely affordable!

We were extremely blessed to have Revlon sponsor us some truly amazing goodies for the #JHBbloggermeetup!

We each received a Lipgloss, Lipstick and Nail Enamel! How lucky are we!!!

Revlon Nail Enamel

"Delivers gorgeous smooth, chip-resistant color to nails."

Pro's: I really LOVE this colour! It has a nice metallic silver look to it and well the name is perfect for a island holiday. Perfect timing as we are doing a island holiday December! It dried extremely fast. I was really impressed as I am usually the one smudging my nails as I am too impatient to wait for them to dry.

Con's: I felt like you need more than 2 coats to give you the results that you need from this product. In the pictures above I only applied 2 coats. And as you can see my nail itself is still a bit visible. :) Next time I will try it with 3 coats.

Retails at R89.

Revlon Super Lustrous Lipgloss

"Silky...Sexy...Brilliant. Glossy formula combines sheer color and intense moisture with light-reflecting spheres to create amazing shine. SPF15"

Pro's: This Lipgloss really makes my lips feel softer and more moisturised. I love the shape and feel of the packaging and the colour is truly amazing! And what they have to say about the product I can agree with 110%!

Con's: Hmmm I actually have to think about this one... so far I don't really have anything. Sorry! :)

Retails at R110.

Revlon Super Lustrous Lipstick

"Infused with silk and vitamins for smooth, conditioning colour. In a dazzling array of fabulous, fashionable shades."

Pro's: Once again Revlon does not lie. This colour on the swatch aims more toward the browns but once on your lips that pink comes through. I love this colour! And the colour lasts! I've already had my first cup of coffee and my lips still look gorgeous! Yay!

Con's: Hmmm and again nothing really. :)

Retails at R120.

AND THE END RESULT:

I would like to give a huge shout out and thank you to Revlon for being such an amazing brand and for making woman around the world feel absolutely beautiful!

I hope all of you had a wonderful weekend!
We had a great mini holiday and I'm ready for the next one! hehe

Tip Top Nails SA Hamper

Hello Journeyers!
Last month I won my 2nd Blog Giveaway with Lipgloss Kisses! I swear that lady is my lucky charm!!! I should shrink you Chicara and keep you in my pocket! hehe
Last night I finally tested all the amazing colours that I received in the hamper. The hamper consisted of 5 Tip Top Nail colours, and their famous base and top coat. A Spa-Valous Candle and a Sun Protection Spray and After Sun Spray. The Spa-Valous candle I have been burning a few days and oh wow, the oil on your skin is just amazing! It leaves my skin smelling great and feeling super soft!

About the brand:

I decided after trying on all the colours to go with the Super Trooper colour. It tells you all about my personality. I love the bush, and this reminds me exactly of it! hehe

So far I love the product. I especially love the brush. The shape of the brush is oblong, which makes it nice and easy to apply the product. This is the first time that I'm using Tip Top Nail Polish so I have no idea how long the Nail Polish lasts before it start to chip. Let's hope long because I have high hopes for this product!

I hope you guys enjoyed this half a review. My apologies. I took the pictures last night as that is when I do my nails usually. Next time I will stick it out and do it during the day so that you can see the colour better.

Have you used Tip Top Nail Products before? And what is your verdict on it?
Looking forward to hear your comments!

Have a fantastic day everyone!

The Laser Beautique

Happy Friday Journeyers!
I feel like this month is really tackling me from all directions, and the best part I can't see it coming! haha. Only because we are already past halfway! Where is the time going???
I have been so busy organising the #JHBbloggermeetup that I am losing track of the days. But I am enjoying every minute of it and I cannot wait to meet everyone in 22 Days!!!!! *happy dance*

Back to business, I won a R500 Voucher with Lipgloss Kisses from The Laser Beautique back in JUNE!!! Yes, June people! *shocking* One thing I've realised is that I'm horrible when it comes to vouchers. Not that I don't like them, I love them. I just forget about them. Now I have to be honest, when I first heard that I won, I first jumped up and down with excitement and then I froze, because all I read was "LASER". And to be honest, I'm terribly scared of anything laser! And after going through their list of things that they do I still didn't find the "fun" parts of it. Till I saw a post from Chicara where she said she went for a manicure. So I scurried back to their website and found the "fun" parts. haha. Big blonde / brunette moment from my side! And I immediately phoned them and booked a nice 30min Swedish back, neck and shoulder massage and a Deluxe Mani.

I was welcomed by the friendly faced staff from the one in Morningside Shopping Centre.
I first had my mani done, which I found out was actually not a normal mani, it was Shellac. I was extremely happy as I've been wanting to do this for a while! With a wide variety of colours to choose from I was a bit stuck. Because now I had to choose a colour that I would stare at for the next 14 - 21 days! Eeek. But I decided on a beautiful coral colour (number 17). Perfect for summer! After the mani (which also included a amazing hand / arm massage) I was half asleep and ready for my massage.

Let's just say after the mani, and then the 30min massage I was completely stress free and floating on cloud nr 9. I felt like a brand spanking new person! Ready to take on the world again! Thank you so much to Leverne, the wonderful and friendly manager (who also phoned me twice to remind me of my voucher - thank you!) and then also to Connie and Phumi who pampered me into a clearheaded state of blissfulness!

Thank you again for making me feel like a princess and for the perfect service! I will be seeing you again shortly!!!
